Turning VUDU “off” with the power button places the VUDU box into a “sleep” or stand-by mode. While asleep, the VUDU box will keep in contact with our servers but will not present any video. It is important to leave the VUDU box plugged in, though not powered “on,” to receive new movies and software updates.
