Which routers and switches are recommended by VUDU?

  • 2Wire 1801 DSL modem router 802.11G wireless, Firmware v3.15

  • Airlink (wireless) AR525w

ActionTec

  • ActionTec MI424-WR, Firmware 4.0.16.1.45.160 (wireless router but using wired connection).

  • Buffalo Technology WBR-G54 running either dd-wrt (v0.23 SP2 final) or Buffalo firmware (v2.20)

ActionTec

  • ActionTec MI424WR - Wireless issue with Linksys WET54G Ver.3.1 firmware 1.08 can connect via static IP only (upgrading the Linksys WET54G to v2.08 resolves this issue

D-Link

  • D-link DIR-615 Ver. A1 firmware 1.0 - DHCP server issues. Upgrading the D-link DIR-615 to firmware 1.10 resolves the issue
  • D-Link VDI-624 c3 (Firmware: 2.50DDM)
  • D-link DI-524 rev. C, Firmware: 3.23

Bridges known to have had problems in conjunction with the VUDU box:

D-Link

  • D-Link Wireless108Mbps DWL-G820 - can only service 1 device at a time. Must reboot the bridge before moving it to another device.

Linksys

  • Linksys WGA54 G ver 2.1 Limitation on the bridge, will drop connection when steaming video data
  • Linksys WET54G ver 3.1firmware 1.08 (Can connect if the VUDU box is assigned a Static IP)
